Price Matching
Dick’s Sporting Goods offers a Price Match Guarantee which allows store clerks to lower the price of a product. You will have to show proof that a competitor is offering the same item for a lower price. This even includes online retailers such as Amazon. We have used the Free Amazon Shopping App to find lower prices on items we purchased at Dick’s and they price matched them without any question. The price matching process can be done while you are checking out so there is no need to stand in line for customer service. Just show the clerk proof of a lower price (this is where having a smartphone comes in handy) and they will override the price. Scorecard Rewards

This is a new mobile app that allows you to see and manage your Scorecard points as well as having the ability to earn exclusive rewards and coupons for fitness/activity milestones. Reduced Gift Cards
There are a few places, such as Sam’s Club, where you may be able to score some slightly reduced Dick’s Sporting Goods gift cards. These may not offer a deep discount (the last time we saw them there it was $47 for a $50 card) but if you are making a high-end purchase these could add up to some decent savings.

Pretty simple way to save here. All online purchases over $49 are eligible for free shipping.
Exclusive Online Sales
If you are preparing to make a purchase at Dick’s Sporting Goods (especially anything high-end) then make sure you look at their website to see if it is on sale there. Online sales are often times only available online and not in-store. If you find a better option online you can ask them to price match it or you can purchase it online and choose ‘pick up at store’ option. This way you avoid any applicable shipping charge and the item is usually available to pick up within 2 hours at your local store.
Price Adjustments

Clearance / Tent Sales
Dick’s has semi-annual tent sales that are always a good time to get deep discounts on discontinued shoes and apparel. You can tell if an item is marked for clearance if the price ends in .93 or .97. One other tip – at Dick’s you may find that their sale pricing is often times better than their clearance pricing. Just because it is marked as ‘clearance’ doesn’t always mean you are getting the best deal. Do some online research and you may find that price matching even clearance items is more favorable in the end especially for discontinued product lines.
Dick’s Credit Card
Dick’s offers a credit card that has some benefits to the cardholder to include double Scorecard points for all purchases. The card is actually issued by MasterCard so it is not a ‘store’ credit card and can be used at any location that accepts MasterCard (not just as Dick’s). As a cardholder you are also eligible for interest free promotions as well. Currently, there is an offer for 12 months of no interest for purchases $399 and above.
