I've been using a plastic French press but wanted to get away from plastics as I'm discovering it gets into everything, especially liquids and especially when heat is involved. This is nearly all metal and glass, and certainly any parts in contact with your hot coffee. French press method makes great coffee and I find it's less tedious to use and clean than a regular coffee maker anyway. This one works exactly as expected. No real issues to speak of.
My only extremely mild issue is a little water gets under the metal on the outside of the glass container and can drip a little on your countertop when pouring but literally like a couple drops. I don't really think there's a way around this and am hard pressed to even think of what they could do to prevent it that wouldn't just cause other complications so I still think this is a 5 star product, especially for the reasonable price.

Defected coffee maker
Updated my review and gave more stars for a customer service. They immediately contacted me and offered a resolution. Appreciate the effort made for the customers.I previously had a different brand and should have stick with it because i like. But there was a sale so i decided why not.Got the press a week ago, quality is not the best. The bottom is already leaking.
