I really like how this item performed on my laminate and ceramic floors. Unlike another item I tried this one did not leave the floor too wet and left no streaks. It is easy to put together, is attractive, and has plenty of attachments. It heats up in less than 30 seconds.However, I returned it because to turn it on and off you only have the choice to plug or unplug it. There is no power button. This seems like some type of hazard to me. Also, the cord is far too short and the user would have to continuously move it to another wall outlet, depending on the room size. It takes about a cup of water. I was only testing it and put in 1/2 cup that did not last very long. Lastly, it will not stand on its own. For an item that performed well the manufacturer should address these simple things.I returned the original product and the seller sent me a newer one. I like It! It has indicator lights and buttons on the handle which are simple to use to control the steam output. For me, it is the next bestep thing to a power button. I filled up the water tank, with distilled water, and cleaned an 7 x 9 foot rug. The unit did not even use half of the tank of water. The new unit also seems to have a longer power cord. I changed my rating to 4 stars. If it had a power button it would be five stars.

    I would say this is a great steam mop and or many of things. The water gets really hot so make sure of your mopping you have some Type of footwear because it did burn my toes when I was barefoot. Besides, that is a really great product. It comes with accessories so you can steam multiple items in the home.

    When I tell you this steam cleaner works wonders I am not joking!!! I read the reviews before I bought it of course, and this tool does not have a power button so you have to unplug it every time you want to stop. I think the cord is a fine length. This thing cleans so well!! I use it on my floors, countertops, cabinets, stove top, sink tops, & bathtub. There was some very old stains on my kitchen floor and those are gone! I was genuinely shocked when I cleaned my bathtub with it! The dirt and soap scum was rolling off the tub!!! I got off really old stains that were on it from before I moved in with the highest heat setting!! It gets very hot too and holds a decent amount of water before you have to add more. It’s also very nice because it comes with different attachments; mop for the floor, squeegee tool for windows/mirrors, scrubbers, wire scrubber, & foam scrubbers. So you can clean anything and everything and it doesn’t take forever to do it!!!

    This thing works great, heats up fast... the first time i heated it up it was making little mechanical clicking noises, lights were on but no steam. I waited a long time, several minutes, tried turning it off and on etc... finally i noticed the problem, and could easily have missed it. inside the water canister is a floppy hose with a weight on it to drop it to the lowest point in the canister... (no matter which way you turn the thing, the hose goes to the lowest point) the HOSE was doubled back on itself, folded in half and thus not sucking water. i ALMOST gave up and put it back in the bow to return! I used a chopstick to flop it out straight, steam came right away! steam mopped the floor in no time, worked great.
    I then attached the short attachments to use the sponge on the baseboards in the kitchen, cleaned them up easily and quickly. BUT, after awhile, the hotaccumulated water coming off the sponge in streaks as i wiped surfaces turned WHITE. i thought that strange, but figured i'd wipe that up once the grime was loosened up. the SPONGE came loose from the plastic base, the glue (the white substance) apparently couldn't handle the heat and came apart.... that's disappointing, I've only just got the thing yesterday and used it the one time...
    I'll keep the device, and i'lldry out the sponge and try to superglue it back on tomorrow...

    DECENT product for the money... (the window squeegee tool works GREAT)

    I am very impressed with this steam mop. My heated tile kitchen floor has never looked so clean, particularly the grout. We have also just had a heated white tile bathroom floor installed and the mop did a very nice cleaning job. My only critiques would be that the cleaning takes quite a bit of time because the water doesn’t last very long and one has to wait for the mop to cool down before adding more; and it would be better to be able to turn off the mop completely without having to pull the plug. Today, for example, with the plug in our bathroom being on the far side of the room, I needed to wait a few minutes for the floor to dry before walking on it to pull the plug. Nonetheless, I will be using this mop regularly for cleaning floors.

    Bought one of these and it worked great for a couple of months, then the handle snapped. Ordered another one and it worked great for a few uses and now won't get hot and it sounds like the pump is working double time. No steam is produced and the pad never gets wet. After less than two weeks, I'm returning the second one and shopping for a new brand.
