    Disappointed by the gripping. My hands and feet were slipping all over. I purchased it because of the promised grip. I hope once I use it more it will get broken in. I could have purchased the same mat for half the price but I appreciate the company that plants a tree for every mat purchased. I do hope the prop improves though.

    Update: After 2 months of use it still has a chemically smell. And neither side have any grip. As soon as my hands and feet get a little sweating I am slipping. Very disappointed.

    First, let me say the mat is really think & soft. It doesn't come with a strap but it does have a Velcro wrap. The printing does have a few minor missing details but it's just the jute, which I think the textures help you grip to your mat. Absolutely worth it for 1 mat 1 tree as my very first mat I bought myself, My first mat was given to me. Namaste

So in reality the pattern on the mat (which i like by the way) is not within the fabrics of the mat - it is literally painted on top but thats just half of the problem. This paint has a toxic smell that is not going away even after some days that i waited for it to happen. And on top of that this pattern doesn’t have a pleasant touch and looks dirty. So i find it absolutely impossible to practice anything on this mat.
