My Physical therapist recommended a 65cm size ball for me. Weak leg muscles-(Back & knee issues) The ball is a nice thick feeling texture! Took at least 8 minutes to pump it up. I had to keep switching hands though. Not an issue. When sitting on it i’m approximately 157lbs pounds, 5’1” -it deflates to almost half its size. I didn’t buy it to sit on it anyway. They say when sitting on an exercise ball your legs should be at least at a 90 degree angle. Do your research or ask your doctor first which size will be right for you. I tried to roll on it to get in position to do sit ups but for me my strength may not be strong enough to remain stable. I rolled from side to side trying to stay straight & stable. I had to hold on to furniture and widen my legs to stabilize myself until I got it. I was able to do 10 sit ups in sets of 5 increments. I was happy with that. I’ll ask my therapist if it’s recommended that I do that particular exercise or not. I inflated it as much as possible to firmness while poking it. I didn’t want to inflate it too much to risk it bursting. I use it for stretching my back muscles laying flat on the floor with legs on the ball rolling it back & forth & also squeezing between legs to strengthen those leg muscles as well. In therapy they use a pillow but with this ball I feel the burn as well. (My muscles are waking up) I now need some kind of padding for my backbones (Spine & hips) cause the floor is too hard and I feel every one of them while doing it. I’m trying to find a mat that is easy to wash by hand. Right now i’m using the pillow for headrest & knees to get up cause these knee bones of mine hurt badly when trying to get up! I have to keep exercising as much as possible to keep my mobility, strengthening muscles, stretching between physical therapy sessions.! Wish me luck!

    I love these exercise balls. This one is for my son in law and I previously bought a red one for myself. The color indicates the recommended height to use that particular ball. Inflates easily, and hold its shape and air well. They are sturdy, and handle a full exercise routine. Or sitting on it while cleaning your fridge or working at your desk. Only drawback, if the red one is your size, a lot of areas are too tall for us while sitting on it. Plus, it did help with my lower back pain.

    This was the cheapest large ball that I could find. And I am very happy. This is as good as any I have had in the past (that my dog ate), or any I have used at the gym.

The air nozzle is specific to this ball, so you cannot use a hairdryer or bicycle pump to quickly inflate it.

    Hurt my back, and when insurance got done paying for physical therapy, I had to resort to home remedies. This ball was recommended by my PT and I'll tell you, she was spot on. Holds the air too. Had mine about 4 months, no sign of a loss of pressure.
