My boyfriend was looking for a stylish yet functional slim wallet, with the option to hold coins. I came across the Bellroy wallet and it doesn't dissapoint. The Java version of the wallet looks very stylish and premium, without compromising on functionality: build is top notch with very well finished seams and quality leather. The color pattern creates great contrast, with the darker brown body and subtle but stylish exterior orange accents. The inside of the wallet is the same bright orange as the exterior accents and takes getting used to at first (when coming from a darker wallet), but with time you get to appreciate the contrast and premium look it gives to the product.
Regarding functionality, you can store several cards (4 quick access cards and a 4+ on the other card pocket) without the usual bulk of conventional wallets. Bills fit perfectly and there are 2 'hidden' pockets compartments on the bills section, both of which can be used for a variety of purposes. This allows you to store several coins or a couple of cards you may want to keep concealed. Do keep in mind that while you can fit coins, the back of the wallet will be marked with the shapes of the coins, as the wallet is rather slim. You won't find a windowed slot for IDs, but that helps keep the bulk at a minimum and the quick access card slots allow the IDs to be shown to at least half height. There are no features like RFID protection, however that's not the target market for this wallet, as Bellroy offers other alternatives for those interested in those features.
This is one of those cases in which you get what you pay for. $90 may be considered a high price when there are cheaper alternatives, but for someone who values a wallet's 'slimness' without compromising functionality, a premium build and good looks, it is a price woth paying, especially if you're trying to stay away from the more extreme slim and minimalistic alternatives. The Bellroy Hide & Seek is recommendable from every angle.

Getting organized is a mindset, not magic
I have used a Dockers wallet I have had for years, and it was cluttered. There were just too many folds and I had cards, bills, and receipts stuffed in. After researching wallets, I chose the Hide and Seek. I received mine today so while I can't attest to the longevity of the wallet yet, I am happy with it so far. I think it's a nice design and I like the style of the lining in the wallet. I initially chose it because I felt like it would help me slim down on the contents of this wallet. I have seen some reviews complain that it is no less bulky than their old wallet, but then I see a picture of their Bellroy stuffed with 10+ cards. My take on this is that a wallet is not going to magically be slim if you over stuff it. This wallet is designed to help you change your mindset and decide what cards are most important to you. I cleaned out my Dockers wallet and put in only 5 of my most frequently used cards and some of my bills. Everything else I just left in my old wallet and put it away in my drawer since I don't use those contents frequently at all. Attached are photos of my old Dockers wallet and how cluttered it was, and my new Bellroy Hide and Seek (java color). I love how much more organized and simple my wallet is now. I also love the orange interior of the java colored wallet as well as the styling of the lining. The one part of the wallet I don't care for is the bill hiding flap. It is no big deal. I put a bill behind it and took it out, and it just seems like it takes more time and effort to tuck it away and pull it out than it is really worth. If you're buying the wallet just for that feature alone, I would suggest not to get your hopes up. I don't plan to use it much if at all. If I do use it, it will be to store bigger bills that I don't plan to use frequently in case of a possible emergency or something. I also don't see the problem with the metal owl on the front, unlike a few other reviews. First, I like the design. I appreciate the fact that Bellroy didn't plaster their name all over the front of the wallet like some other companies do. I have seen some wallets on Amazon that have the company's name go completely across the length of the wallet. That's tacky in my opinion. Second, I do not see how it would hurt my rear end. However, I'll never know. This wallet will be going in my front pocket. I don't sit on wallets if they cost me $90. If you can't fit this wallet into your front pocket comfortably, then you missed the point of the wallet. Choose your most frequent cards and fill the wallet strategically. If you can't fill this wallet without putting every card you own into it, then don't buy this wallet because you're missing the point of it. Overall, I'm glad I dropped the extra cash on the wallet while I could, and I'm hoping that the durability of this wallet will be good. I give it five stars, because I finally have a nice looking and organized wallet. I will never be seen with my old George Costanza wallet again. If you do choose this wallet with hopes to slim down the contents of your wallet, please just remember that it has everything to do with your mindset and nothing to do with "magic".Edit 7/18/23- I still use this wallet 8 years later. It's still in amazing shape so I definitely recommend this wallet still.
