Electrolytes are so important for the body and after consuming liquid IV for so many years I became tired of the sugar content in them. I came across these from a content creator on instagram and decided to give them a try. The packet size is the a bit smaller than the liquid IV ones. At times, the flavor might give the impression of those sugar free products, if you know you know, but I honestly love them regardless. They have a “lighter” taste to them and I think it’s because of the lower sugar content than I’m used to. I suggest trying the variety pack before purchasing only one flavor. My favorite is the Orange and the Raspberry!

I started using these drink mix products several years ago. For medical reasons, my GP and Functional Medicine Doctors started me on a strict ketogenic diet (25 net carbs daily) which I cycle in and out of; when I am not on my keto diet, I eat low carb (100 or less net carbs daily). My preferred hydration drink is a no sugar added 100% coconut water, but when carbs count, I cannot drink coconut water while on keto. I got tired of drinking plain water or bone broth for hydration, so I did some research, and came across the Ultima Replenisher Daily Electrolyte Drink Mix. I initially purchased the mixed flavor packets, I found out my favorite is the cherry/pomegranate flavored mix. What I like about the product compared to others I found in my research is 0 net carbs and lower sodium than most other options out there. No added sugars, no caffeine, and natural colors are a plus.
As a certified group fitness instructor, I work out daily for one hour; I need to stay hydrated and replace lost electrolytes. These drink mixes contain “6 key electrolytes - magnesium, calcium, potassium, chloride, phosphorus and sodium, as well as vitamin C and zinc”. I usually drink these with the recommended 16 fluid ounces of water during my workouts: “The brand recommends the following schedule for drinking your Ultima Replenisher":

1. 2 hours before your workout – 1 serving
2. 30 minutes before your workout – ½ serving
3. Every 20 minutes of activity – ¼ serving
4. After your workout, for every pound you lose in sweat, drink 1 ¼ serving
That’s a potential total of 4 or more servings per day or per workout day. During periods of rest, your body won’t need the same hydration as you won’t be losing as much fluid.”

What I like about the product:
1. 0 net carbs, no added caffeine, no added sugar, and lower sodium than similar products.
2. They offer several flavors to choose from; I have tried most of the flavors and found them all enjoyable, but my favorite is cherry/pomegranate.
3. No artificial colors or flavors.
4. You can purchase them in 20 pack individual packets or as a bulk container.
5. For less than a dollar per packet, they are quite affordable and priced competitively in comparison to competitors.
6. If you make a purchase from their website a portion of the money goes to one of their charities.
7. You can find several recipes on the website which make the drinks even more enjoyable.

What I don’t like and what prevents the product from receiving a perfect 5-star rate:
1. The product is manufactured in the US, but it uses US and imported products. There is no disclosure on what countries the products are coming from.
2. No GMP or similar certification for the manufacture of the product.
3. No third-party testing.

Overall, a great product and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a keto option to stay hydrated and replace electrolytes.

I was super nervous to order this product, but I'm SOOO glad I did.

Summery: I love the flavors. Yes it does leave some powder that doesn't dissolve all the way. Yes it helps me. It does not give my sensitive stomach any issues.

Ok so this is a long review, but I really want to stress all of the reasons I love this product. Several months ago, I started having tummy issues. We still don't know exactly what's going on. I also have POTS. I needed something to give me electrolytes, but without the added sugar or chemicals. I also needed something that was gentle on my stomach. I am sensitive to a lot of things. I was especially nervous about the Magnesium, because in the past, that supplement has not been kind to me. I HATE artificial sweeteners, and I wanted something natural (without dyes, artificial flavors and all sorts of unnecessary chemicals. ) So, I added this product to my wish list and thought about it for weeks. Eventually, I had a consultation with my Functional Medicine Practitioner and asked her what she recommended for electrolytes. I was shocked when she named this product that had been sitting on my wish list. I immediately ordered a bag. I was careful with the first packet. I took all day to drink it, and had no issues. So I tried another the next day and the next. I was stoked that it not only helped my dizziness, but didn't affect my stomach or gi tract at all! I will say, I have not had more than 1 a day. My advice to anyone with gi issues who are sensitive to Magnesium is to do the same. So anyway, I took these on vacation with me. I have had the following flavors: Watermelon, Blue Raspberry, Passion Fruit, Pink Lemonade, Coconut Pina Colada, Appletini, and Peach Ballini. I can not pick a favorite. They are all good, in my opinion. It could be because I haven't had sugar in months, or because I'm so desperate for flavors, but I'm very happy with them. A lot of people don't like that they leave a powder that doesn't dissolve all the way. I don't really care about that. This isn't the first, nor will it be the last thing I'll eat or drink that has a little something that didn't mix all the way. (Insert eye roll. Is it really that big a deal?). I notice my dizzy spells are less when I have had one of these packets. I love that they have very few ingredients that are natural and easy to understand. It is sweetened with stevia. I do not notice an artificial sweetener taste, and I am VERY picky about that. So all in all, I recommend this product. Everyone is different, but I hope this helps in some way to make your decision.
