About this item
- ACTIVE BELT: The Active Belt is our most economical model. It provides exceptional comfort and suspends you at shoulder level in deep water allowing you to breathe normally and move freely while performing a wide variety of water exercises. The contoured shape of the belt ensures a snug fit around the waist, allowing users to maintain proper posture and form while aqua jogging. Foam dimensions 25 ½” length 11” width 1 3/8” thick
- RECOVER FASTER: In the water your Musculo-skeletal system is no longer bearing weight, so it can be recovering from all the pounding of your land-based programs while you focus your conditioning on the cardio-pulmonary system. No pounding…no impact
- NO IMPACT RUNNING: Your body weighs about 10% of its land weight when up to your neck in water. If you weigh 200 lbs. when standing on land, you weigh only 20 lbs. in water. With the addition of a buoyancy belt like the AquaJogger, you can run with your head comfortably out of water, breathe normally, and accomplish most of the same workouts you perform on land
- PATENTED DESIGN: Our patented contoured design tones abdominal muscles and supports and strengthens the lower back. Whether used in a pool, lake, or other aquatic settings, the AquaJogger Active Belt is versatile and adapts to various water environments. Its design allows users to engage in effective aqua jogging sessions in different settings, providing a flexible and enjoyable exercise experience. Includes 52" non-elastic adjustable belt that clips and unclips easily
- DURABLE & WATER RESISTANT: Crafted from high-quality, water-resistant materials, the AquaJogger Active Belt is built to withstand the rigors of regular water workouts. The durable construction ensures longevity and reliability, making it a dependable choice for individuals looking for a lasting aquatic fitness solution as well as aiding in physical therapy sessions

What’s so special about water?
Although various forms of water exercise have been used for centuries, space age research now documents more reasons than ever to take training and recovery programs into the water
Aerobic and Anaerobic Conditioning
A decade of research by a variety of sources has shown that the training effect of water running can be equal or greater than the same level of effort on land. Improve your cardio-pulmonary conditioning while giving your weight-bearing joints and muscles a day off
Resistance
Water creates resistance to movement in all directions through a full range of motion. Increase or decrease the intensity by changing the speed of your movements. Being submerged in water is like having an adjustable weight machine surrounding your body
Fitness During Pregnancy
SPLASH! Ahhhh…. Feeling less like a bulky washing machine and more like a gazelle the moment you enter the warm water. Let’s face it, pregnancy can wear you out! The weight of your newly expanding belly pulls on your back muscles and the extra pounds make your feet ache. Even the thought of exercising makes you tired.
The good news is there are simple water exercises that can reap big rewards, both mentally and physically. Plus being in the water when you are pregnant just feels good!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 22, 2018I want to start by saying I resisted buying this. I work out daily for at least an hour including some combination of distance swimming (1.5 miles), cycling, stepper, hiking or walking and hatha yoga. The thought of any kind of water aerobics has never appealed to me. But then I somehow managed to aggravate both my shoulder and knee (tendinitis?) at the same time. Suddenly I was unable to do any of it without pain. A friend at the pool was kind enough to let me try out her AquaJogger Classic and, as fate would have it, there just happened to be an AquaJogger Active in the free bin that day. So I got to use and compare both.
Honestly, apart from the elastic belt (which I hear stretches out over time) on the Classic and that it may be all of 1/4" thicker, I really could see no difference, so I purchased the Active because it was about $15 cheaper. So far I've used it twice. I'm 5'9" and weigh 130 lbs. The belt keeps me buoyant, so I'm confused by reviews from people who weigh a lot more than I do and say they can't keep buoyant with the belt. Unless all that extra weight is pure muscle, they should stay afloat better than I do :-)
I have the belt on the tightest setting. I haven't had problems with it riding up as others have commented on (I wonder if they have the belt looped through correctly). I did tie a knot on one side to ensure it doesn't slide out of place. The first time I used it, I had my 2 mill Roxy Popsurf wetsuit jacket on which not only kept the belt from sliding up AT ALL, but kept my skin protected. I'm sure a rash guard or even just a plain T-shirt would work. The second time I used it, I had just my open back swim suit on and got a bit of a contact rash from the foam so maybe I'll go back to wearing a shirt or wetsuit top.
I was surprised that I got a much better work out than I thought I would doing water jogging and Nordic track laps. It doesn't feel as aerobic as swimming, but it's definitely a good muscle worker. I also liked that because my head and shoulders were out of the water, I didn't lose as much body heat as I sometimes do when I'm lap swimming (the pool I swim in is often chilly - maybe 79 degrees).
All in all I'd say it's a nice piece of gear at a fairly decent price (what doesn't have at least a 300% mark-up these days). I recommend it. And, no, I was not paid or compensated in any way for writing this review :-)

- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2022This was just what I needed for the water exercise class I just joined. I love the fact that it keeps me buoyant so I am able to keep my legs moving for certain exercises. It is very easy and comfortable to use, just strap it on tight and I was able to float upright in the pool plus keeps my hands and arms free as well. The float itself is dense, but very light in weight and should last a long time. The strap and clips are also very durable and long so that it should fit many sizes.
I am very happy with my choice and would definitely recommend to my family and friends.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2022Provides excellent buoyancy and fits comfortably on the back, BUT the nylon belt would allow it to slip upwards as I bounced my way through deep water aerobics. I purchased a similar size belt made of an elastic material so I could really tighten it and still breathe. Works great now. No more belt push up causing unwanted extreme cleavage exposure and no more foam hump bothering the back of my neck!
