The good: it does soften clothes. No real scent. No irritation. Easy to dispense, and no throw-away sheets to pollute in the landfill and also with microfibers (hopefully the jug recycles as it should).

The sort-of bad: leaves a waxy buildup in the washing machine's plumbing. It works better if you can dilute this with water. Save an empty bottle, and mix 3:2 (3 parts softener, 2 parts water). Makes a thinner fluid that leaves less residue; of course you have to dispense 1.5x as much.
