Essentials was thinner and smoother. The other heavier, thicker, more fabric feel. Tore 2 sided off roll. Perforation of the generic was easier to rip into two. I am not disappointed in Essentials. Neither ripped by themselves swishing in water after being used to clean a metal pan with baking soda. Generic peeled into two after swish in hot water while the Essentials tore easily after the swish in hot water.
