I replaced an old school carpeted wooden ramp and cardboard (edged) stairs with several of these (strong yet soft) stairs.     When I got the box I was little worried, but these steps were really compressed, and very well packaged. They inflated to the perfect size for my sofa, and my little dogs can climb them easily. They plenty solid enough to hold their 10 lbs. Although they is yeah on the bottom, I do find that they still slide around some. But they'll work fine for me and my dogs
