    The trend of using coconut oil as a base for vegan foods must end. There is not nearly enough onion flavor in this dip, the mouth feel and aftertaste are awful. The only thing good about this dip is the texture, as I prefer a thicker dip. Trader Joe’s vegan caramelized onion dip or Kite Hill vegan onion dip are better—even a powdered onion dip mix in vegan yogurt would be a vast improvement.

    This is very thick, but I don't mind that. I suddenly became allergic to dairy and nuts, so this was one of the few "creamy" options out there. I does not taste anything like a traditional French onion dip. Vaguely like sour cream and a hint of cooked onion? It isn't bad, just not really what I would call "French Onion" flavor, if you are used to "regular" dip.

    This tastes amazing, I love the violife plain sour cream also. But be careful how much you consume because the saturated fat is high and can increase LDL. If you have a cholesterol issue I don’t recommend this product.
