Meeka our 80lb, 10 year old Weimaraner loves this bed. As soon as I put it together she crawled right in and feel asleep. I wish I’d known about this bed years ago.
It was easy to insert the bed into the cover and the zipper was made of very sturdy material and zipped up easily. We’ve bought lots of beds over the years and this one is the best quality we’ve seen.

Our Cozy Cave design dog beds are the PERFECT nesting dog bed for dogs who love to dig and burrow under the blankets. This hooded bed envelopes your dog in Sherpa fabric to keep them feeling warm and nestled and the base can be filled with either a cedar/poly mix for extreme overstuffed coziness or with an orthopedic foam insert for extra support. A concealed, thin plastic rod keep the hood of their bed raised for easy entry and exit, but can be removed when washing. That's right, the Cozy Cave is fully washable. Simply, remove the plastic rod through the small opening at the mouth of the hood and remove the filling from the base using the covered zipper in the rear of the bed. Now your bed is ready to go in the washing machine! With 3 sizes and over 40 colors there is certainly a Cozy Cave for your pet!

Overstuffed Cozy Comfort
Our Original Cozy Cave dog bed comes stuffed with a cedar/poly mixture that makes for a plush enveloping base while the Sherpa covered hood wraps your dog in warmth and comfort. Nesting dogs will be able to dig and burrow into the deep comfort of this bed without fear of damaging the fabric, sherpa or interior filling.
Orthopedic Support
Our Orthopedic line of Cozy Caves, on the other hand, provides the sturdy stability of orthopedic foam to the base of the bed. This allows older or injured pets to easily climb in and out of their cave while still being wrapped in the safety and comfort of the Sherpa hood.

For us, the details matter. Overlocked stitching hides durable zippers. That’s because liners are made to be washer-friendly, just like our covers. When the time comes, you can replace the filling and make your Snoozer like new again, year in and year out.
Snoozer was established in Greenville, South Carolina in 1985 with the intention of manufacturing and selling the finest dog beds, dog car seats, dog sofas and pet accessories. The same values that drove the establishment of the company then remain instilled in the company today. Snoozer is family owned and operated, and most of our products are sewn and assembled by hand here in the USA.
Pet Friendly and Green
At Snoozer, we have chosen not to have our products’ structural foam treated with any chemicals. This is in consideration of any potentially negative effects such treatments may have on a pet. Because our foam is untreated, it will develop a honey golden hue over time. This color enrichment process is natural, and not indicative of prior use.
Additionally, in a conscious effort to reduce the use of non-essential plastics, we have also chosen to forego fully wrapping individual products in favor of using quality, recyclable cardboard packaging.
We want to communicate our pet friendly and green product and packing standards (non-treated foam and low use of plastic) so you, as our cherished customers, know these are indications of how Snoozer as a brand has chosen to care for the planet and all pets.

This bed has been a game changer!!!
We put off buying this bed for months, in part given the cost and in part because we weren't sure it would solve the issue: Our sweet pit mix has slept with us since not long after we adopted her - our one lapse in judgment while thoroughly training her. Typically, she starts on top of the covers at our feet, then she's... nudging us to get under the covers then back out (multiple times each night), under our legs (causing back issues), on our legs (making them numb), between our legs, pushing one or both of us (depending on her orientation) nearly off the sides of the bed, etc.Finally, with the wife pregnant and really needing restful sleep, we bit the bullet. We received the cozy cave 9 days ago and VERY quickly and easily trained the dog to nudge her way into it. For the first seven nights, we'd wake up to her having found her way onto our bed again... and we gently commanded "off" or "go to bed," treating her when she tucked herself in. It wasn't exactly restful for us, and we wondered if this would be the new norm. However, she stayed the ENTIRE night last night either in or on her own bed!!!While it may take a few more nights to be confident in this retraining, we have pleasantly surprised with her progress so far. Not only is she not resentful of having been kicked out of our bed, she finds the cozy cave comfortable enough for naps throughout the day as well (the first picture was trained/commanded; the second and third were her own idea).She loves it, we love it... and we're looking forward to at least a few weeks of excellent sleep (before the baby arrives). :)

We ordered this a few months ago during a very cold winter, and honestly, at first, our beloved pup did not know how to sleep in it. He sat on top of it and just looked cute. We moved it into our room after two weeks, and on that first night, he crawled right in...and even though it's getting warmer now (in May), he's still in it nearly constantly! We were a little worried by hearing other reviews that he might not fit in it, but it is the perfect size for him. I would think at least up to a 15 lb dog would fit in it comfortably, perhaps even bigger. Sometimes he burrows so far back in it that we can't even see him. It's very soft and warm, and is made of excellent quality materials. Sometimes we've caught him digging at it (not sure why, he doesn't do it in a destructive manner, but he has clawed it up some) and you can't even tell. His last bed was leaking fluff everywhere after his light digging, but not this one. We are getting another dachshund soon and plan to get her one as well! We have also added some pictures to get a better idea of how it looks in person, it is the light colored one with a dapple doggie! (We were not too concerned with the color even though it said this one was Dark Chocolate, we were just thankful for the amazing $30 deal we got it for on Amazon Warehouse!)

I don’t usually spend this amount of time on a product review, however this is an important product in our home! This our third set of ”clam-Snoozer” beds to purchase through the years. We still have the old ones, but our dogs love them so much, that we like having a set in the bedroom and in my art studio also. Our guys are getting older, so this is our first time to buy the orthopedic, memory foam Snoozer. Honestly, I wish we had spent the money earlier on the orthopedic, because I think the mattress will hold its shape much better for a longer period of time. The company has made design improvements, each time we buy a new bed. The exterior of the bed is durably made and holds up very well. To save money in the past, I bought another brand and it lasted only a few months. Each Snozzer bed comes with two mattresses. The fluffy, top mattress and the orthopedic. Our dogs prefer the full-fluff of both mattresses, because they know and love the bed. If you have never had a claim-bed, you can leave out the fluff until you dogs adjusts to crawling into the bed. I love that they can choose to sleep on the top of the bed, if it is warm or inside if it is cool! This bed is easily dismantled to wash, however be aware that the memory foam is quite heavy and can make it difficult to handle for a single with back issues. Otherwise, you can’t go wrong with this bed! Durable and top quality!
