Love the color selections
This timer is easy to set and operate (instruction book included), comes with batteries, and is fun to look at. The display is large and bright enough for me to see from across my counter and the notification is loud enough to hear from the other room.It does count up or down (stopwatch or timer functions).The magnets are strong enough to keep it securely attached to the frig. There is also a flap at the back that flips out and adjusts to two different positions so it can stand on the counter. The battery case is located under or behind the flap.The timer has recall, handy when you are timing multiple groups of the same time frame (ex pulse the dough for 20 seconds, scrape down the bowl, pulse again for 20 seconds)However…Every.single.key stroke beeps. You got it - adding 30 seconds to the timer creates thirty beeps.There is no on/off switch. You simply touch the display in a specific place on the screen, and it "wakes up".There is no way to adjust the brightness or the volume.The back light stays on as long as the timer is running. It goes dark as soon as the time is up.When the time is ticking off, the numbers do this little digital dance, blinking as the seconds tick off. It is, (to me at least) a bit annoying, but not a deal breaker.Probably the most disappointing feature is the timer will only continue to beep for 30 seconds after time is up. If you happen to be doing something else in another room or outside for example, and the timer goes off before you return, you will have no idea that the time has expired unless you check the timer when you return. Defeats the whole purpose of using a timer.This is a backup timer for me (when I have two things going at once), it gets the job done and it looks cute, but overall it would not be my first choice.
