I ordered these to use before meals with a lot of dairy. They seem to work well enough, though I've only tried a few other brands.The serving is 3 tablets taken at the first bite of dairy. Fortunately, the tablets are small and easy to swallow.They seemed to help reduce some symptoms, and I would consider this brand again.

    These work well. However, at first they were not highly effective because I took the pills before eating any dairy. They say to take “with” dairy. What I do now is take one bite of ice cream, take the pills, then eat the rest of the ice cream. Much more effective this way!

    I bought this as a test to see if lactase would help me after a painful experience from eating cold stone. It is very helpful and makes it less of a gamble to eat my favorite soft serve ice creams. It has made life with ibs and lactose intolerance a lot more tolerable when I get a summer treat.

    It is not too big, but it is bitter with water, so I recommend eating it right before or drinking it with something flavored if the medicinal taste bothers you. I think it a little bitterness is worth it though, because chewable tablets did not appeal to me. I usually swallow mine 5-10 minutes before eating the ice cream.

    I have heard lactase medicine can make you gassy, but this hasn’t happened to me yet. At least no more gassier than when I didn’t take it.
