    This item is PLAIN Robitussin, without any additional drugs or chemicals. I believe that plain Robitussim--an expectorant--is best for the uncomplicated cough, for it simply reduces the viscosity of the secretions and allows you to either cough or spit them up. Those Robitussin products that have DM (dextromethorphanone) in them may be doing more harm than good. That is because, in general, in adults, coughing is GOOD FOR YOU when your bronchi and bronchioles are congested. Coughing helps clear them, as disagreeable as it can feel (of course, too much coughing can result in problems of its own). DM suppresses the very physiological response that nature intended to help clear our air pipes. Other additions to Robitussin are decongestants, and these, depending on the condition, might be useful, but they often are stimulants, so one must be careful, especially if one has cardiac or Parkinsonian problems. If one is taking a stimulant for ADHD, the effect of the decongestant may be additive and result in too much stimulation.

    Robitussin's Natural cough syrup worked well for me, when my body was under attack with a cold virus. The hardest part of going through that healing process was the coughing and between the natural ingredients like honey and elderberry, I found steady relief.

    Again, it did work for me, until I found out that elderberry is not a favorable natural alternative for people dealing with thyroid issues... so, too be on the safe side of things I stopped taking it.

    So, NO THYROID ISSUES... you should be fine, but in all medical conditions please check if your not sure with your doctor. I also, loved the taste as well when I did use the cough syrup.

Tried to peel where it says ‘LIFT HERE’ but it was very difficult to lift and also there was no more info to look at. I strongly suspect that this contains corn syrup or molasse iso honey? I should’ve read the label more closely. Anyway, I am stopping taking this from now on.
