Game changer for at home nails!
My friend told me about the UNA system (glue and tips) and I was a bit skeptical despite her nails lasting weeks. I've done dip powder, UV gel polish, and press on nails at home with minimal satisfaction. I was tired of spending hours and money at the salon but love the look of a good manicure. I'm so happy I found these products because they really do hold up well - and this is coming from someone who is rough on their nails. I watched multiple YouTube videos to try and get the application down. I made sure to prep my nails thoroughly and use both a nail dehydrator and primer before application of the glue. After the glue and tips were applied, I used a UV gel polish on top of the nail. This process took a total of an hour start to finish. I did my nails before bed so that I could avoid any water and allow them to fully cure. I'm on day # 3 and there is no lifting, chipping, or bending which is unheard of for nails done at home. I am thoroughly impressed with these products and hope I can get 2-3 weeks out of this set.

    Easy to use, no bubbles, lasts longer on my nails than beetles uv glue. With beetles uv glue, gel nails last about 2 weeks for me before popping off. With Una solid state glue, my nails now last about 3.5 weeks. I am choosing to remove due to growth, not because they pop off!

    Also, it is easier to get a more natural looking fit because I do not have to push so hard. I can focus on alignment instead of worrying about pressing hard to prevent bubbles.

    When this gel glue is cured it dries into the texture of rubber. Because of this, the nails started to lift around the corners after 3 days, and by day 5 everything except the dead center had lifted on its own. I had to take them off because the lifting made the nails look terrible and super fake. This was my first time doing a gel press on and I hoped it would last at least 2 weeks, but I am glad the glue was tacky enough that it didn’t damage my nails when it ultimately started to pull off. I also used the Una nails and I am worried that they lifted off so early because of the sharp c-curve shape of the nail, which created counter-pressure pushing off of my regular nails. They were also extremely difficult to cure for this reason because I had to hold every nail in place until it was partially cured enough not to spring off my finger…
