I'm a hairy gal. Hormonal problems ruled out by my physician, it's just hereditary. My cheeks, neck, forehead, and chin are covered in a fine ever-growing peach-fuzz. If I cease shaving, I shall acquire a boat and thus forth be dubbed blonde beard. My mustache is darker and thicker, something I think a lot of women experience.I have been shaving for a while with a men's razor (Gillette Fusion ProGlide for reference) and shaving cream but it just couldn't give me a close enough shave. ENTER SCHICK SILK TOUCH-UP! Holy Wow! I've been dry shaving my entire face and some of my neck with these and no irritation plus it is the closest shave I have gotten. No pulling or scraping like other "mini-razors". It's quicker than doing what I call a "dad shave" in the shower and I can see what I'm shaving because I'm at my makeup table and there's no shaving cream obstructing my view (I don't want to accidentally hack off the hair by my ears or forehead). Plus, I compared this to other (what I call) mini-razors and it's twice the size (picture for reference, the pink one furthest to the right is this product)!! Obviously I'm not new to the hair removal game. So very efficient for doing your whole face, easy for detailing those brows. There was a bit of skin buildup after scraping (it's called exfoliating, it's good for you because...it is) at my face but just wash off with soap and water and let air dry completely before you put a cap back on. I like to use a toner and moisturizer after shaving because I think that's what you should do after exfoliating.At the end of the day, everyone's skin is very different. While I experienced no irritation, some reviewers suggest that using these wet or with cream works better. So you should probably patch test to see what works for your skin and don't scream at me if this doesn't solve your problems, make you rich, and give you puppies.I love this product and hope that they sell it forever. It works on my peach fuzz, mustache, and brows. If I ever get word that they are going to stop making them, I will hoard them all.

    Facial hair wasn't a big problem for me until middle-age. And now it seems like stray, firm hairs were popping up unpleasantly in random places faster than I can pluck them. Plucking is painful and time consuming; Nair dried out my skin and didn't even get rid of all the hair. I thought I was going to have to shave my face but saw this as a cheaper, easier alternative. And I was so right! It was fast and easy, I didn't nick my skin, and although I did it too hard and my skin felt a little sting-y, after washing with antibacterial soap and moisturizing like crazy, there are no breakouts and I have the smoothest skin.

    I highly recommending Googling dermaplaning tips before using (45 degree angle, hold skin taught to get closer to the root and avoid nicks, don't exfoliate a few days before or after) but even me just blindly doing this while sitting in front of the computer I got fantastic results. Will buy again!

    I tried waxing at probably five places, and I always got a red rash that lasted two days. I bought a $90 laser-type hair removal thing and was bulky and hard to hold, and the application end was way too big for my upper lip. THEN, here comes these little gems and it's a whole new world. You need to use them at an angle, like it says, and gently follow the direction of hair growth, but wow. I'm in love. The price is insanely reasonable.

    If you had asked me, before I used this, if I had hair on my face I would have told you no. I am 40, and a daily makeup wearer with a magnifying mirror, but I just never noticed it. I actually bought these because my dry, sensitive skin tends to break out if I don't exfoliate, and heard that dermaplaning was a great way to exfoliate, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

    As I started the process, I couldn't believe ALL THE PEACH FUZZ that piled up from just a small area. I was sitting down and wearing black pants, so that's where it accumulated and it was nothing short of shocking!

    Then, after feeling how soft my skin felt and how smooth my makeup went on afterward- I'm now hooked. My makeup doesn't get cakey or anything anymore, and my face looks really fresh all day. I now look forward to dermaplaning because it's so satisfying.

    AND NO, IT DOESN'T GROW BACK THICKER! And it doesn't get prickly. I promise. It's been years that I've been using facial razors and still don't notice when the peach fuzz grows back in because it's still soft, light, and thin.

    I've upgraded to a clinical dermaplaner at this point, which is basically a scalpel, but I DON'T recommend doing that until you get the hang of using these- they're much safer, which is why I recommend these ones specifically.
    They also stay sharp much longer than other brands I have tried.

    I see a lot of pictures of scratches and cuts in these reviews, which are mostly due to user error (but that's okay, don't give up, it just takes a bit of practice!) Just explain the scratches away at work by saying you rescue orphaned, feral kittens or something on the weekends and learn the technique below. Also remember that as the razor gets dull it can skip and cut as well, so I usually only use it 2-3 times before tossing it.

    DON'T use it like how you shave your legs, it's a completely different technique than you use to shave anywhere else on your body. As a matter of fact, it's the exact opposite of how you shave anywhere else. You don't use it how you see guys shave their face, either.
    Tips:
    1. Wash your face like usual and let it FULLY dry. No moisturizer or anything else. You want dry and smooth.
    2. Hold the razor at a 45 degree angle to your face and very lightly, make tiny strokes in a downward direction. By tiny strokes, I mean maybe just a 1/4 of an inch before moving it back up and down another 1/4 inch. You know, it's a similar hand motion to brushing your teeth, now that I think of it.
    3. Start on the side of your cheek below the temple, in the "sideburns" area moving down toward your jawline, as this is the most forgiving area.
    4. The tighter your skin, the better, so I often use my left hand to give the skin a little tug from one side to flatten out any wrinkles (like on my forehead) or anywhere else the razor might grab if it's not tight, because that can make the razor skip and cut you.

    Look up videos on YouTube of "dermaplaning" and that will likely help much more than my description.

    Your skin might be a little angry afterward, so do it at night to give it a chance to calm down. I use witch hazel on a cotton ball as a toner and a Cetaphil moisturizer before bed, and by the next morning there is no redness left. Any other serums tend to burn, so I take the night off from those as well.

    I really like how these blades take hair off and leave the skin smooth and I like how they take dry skin off my face.

    That being said, the tip is very sharp and isn't under the protective guard with the rest of the blade. I have sliced my skin a couple of times with the tip of the blade. I put a small piece of tape on the end of the blade, so I don't have to worry about getting sliced anymore.

    I like these I'm older and I would pluck my hairs on my lip and I use Nair but sometimes that near you use it so much a long time it doesn't work anymore I don't know how that is but these really work and it's a clean close shave and what I do what works best for me is I put a little deodorant on my lip because I really used near under my armpits so I don't have like brown armpits or black armpits from hair you know shadow they've always been just clean like I never had hair but I do have some stragglies that I never had before so I had put my daughter on and I noticed the stragley's so I ran that little blade over it and it was so smooth taking off the hair so that's why I used it on my lip I just put a little bit you know rubbed it there and then I used to the the blade and it's just so good and it comes off the blade good and then you just wash your mouth off you know it ain't nothing but it was a really smooth shave it lasts long so when one grew out I might have plucked it or tweezed it you shouldn't say plucked I tweezed it and I have too thick ones that really come out you know your hormones change a wreck and you start getting a mustache sometimes you get stragged with hairs on the side of your face that are like and it's long as they're white and you're like why didn't somebody tell me because you didn't see it or feel it anyway I recommend these I really like them I started buying them on wish and they had him here on Amazon and that was like I looked for dollar items and that was on there it was a good price so I went ahead and got them on Amazon since I was buying anyway some other things I recommend these thank you
